Gender Monitoring presented by CR Labs was created to simplify the gender monitoring processes. Large organisations around the world are now mandated to adhere to international standards in gender under their Environmental Social Governance (ESG). The reporting process is dated and can be inefficient and cumbersome, we created Gender Monitoring to automate and streamline the process system creating realtime and effective data.
Women and girls everywhere must have equal rights and opportunity, and be able to live free of violence and discrimination. Gender equality and empowerment is one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDG 5, but also integral to all dimensions of inclusive and sustainable development. So not only is it the right thing to do but it also makes financial sense. Companies that ranked highest in ESG (Environmental and Social Governance) performed up-to 40% better than companies that performed the lowest [Meryl Lynch] And in the fourth quarter alone in 2021 $143 billion flowed into sustainable funds [Harvard Business Review]
Here is an increased recognition for the role new technologies can play in producing more reliable data faster. After completing a Gender Action Plan for a large financial institution, we observed several inefficiencies during the data collection process.
here is an increased recognition for the role new technologies can play in producing more reliable data faster. After completing a Gender Action Plan for a large financial institution, we observed several inefficiencies during the data collection process, : Measurability: was the data accurate, surveys were not completed company wide, HR data was not always current and compiled across various contradicting documents : Document compilation: takes a few months meaning the information is already dated by the time the report is published : Bias in the data: when the report is being compiled : Gaps in the data: not observable without a big picture view of the company : Implementation: based on the above points it makes it harder to implement changes and also monitor the progress from the changesAll of which could be overcome by creating a robust automation and data system that tracks and filters data allowing for anonymised accurate systems of collecting, measuring and implementation of the learnings irrespective of the complexity of the organisational structure and direction of implementation for the action plan.
Was the data accurate, surveys were not completed company wide, HR data was not always current and compiled across various contradicting documents
Takes a few months meaning the information is already dated by the time the report is published
When the report is being compiled
Bot observable without a big picture view of the company
based on the above points it makes it harder to implement changes and also monitor the progress from the changes
All of which could be overcome by creating a robust automation and data system that tracks and filters data allowing for anonymised accurate systems of collecting, measuring and implementation of the learnings irrespective of the complexity of the organisational structure and direction of implementation for the action plan.
Realtime reporting means companies can understand the state of their businesses in realtimeHeat maps on the dashboard can also clearly and visually show which areas of the business are performing well and where attention is neededTargeted implementation that can correlate the changes in gender with any shifts in business productivity and performance.
1. Data collection: the tool would plug into company HR and CRM tools and be able to read excel sheets so that various sources of data can be input for a universal system.
2. Data Analysis: The tool would in realtime assess the data every time a change is made on the other operations tools/documents to produce realtime reporting.
- Multi-tool integration- realtime updates
- Customizable fields that allow organisations to monitor against certain aspects of the business
3. Reporting against gender objectives- real time reports- cross sectional of the organisation with a departmental, divisional, rank, geographical and any other useful cross section assessment needed
